Geller MicroAnalytical Laboratory developed vacuum desiccators out of the need to store our elemental standards in an atmosphere in which they would not degrade. We have two type of desiccators; one is the VUS-J series of glass jars, the other is the VUS-SS stainless steel series. Both have holding times of approximately 5 years to a degradation of about 0.1 atmosphere.
